Had the opportunity to catch up with Bobby Gruenewald, along with other churches from Melbourne, from LifeChurch.tv tonight. Bobby is Pastor / Innovation Leader at LifeChurch and is one of five pastor’s that form the Leadership Team of LifeChurch. He also had Kevin Penry (Pastor / Operational Leader) and Miles Paludan (Campus Pastor, Edmund campus) with him. They are currently touring Australia, meeting up with churches.
LifeChurch.tv is a multi-site church, with 13 locations, averaging around 23k attendances a weekend. They are very innovative and creative, using technology wherever possible to share the message of the Gospel.
Bobby struck me as such a sincere and down to earth guy. Along with sharing about LifeChurch.tv and talking about it’s vision and plans etc he also wanted to hear how people were using their resources, were there ways they could be making it better, were the file downloads too big etc.
He talked about their internet campus, a new website they are releasing soon that will allow a church to track attendance/financials, their vision to unite the Church (church with a capital C) and some testimonies on what churches were seeing happen through using LifeChurch.tv resources.
Was a great night which I unfortunately had to leave early. I was already impressed with LifeChurch.tv but even more so now because they took time out of their lives to engage us.
